BOOSTERTHON 2008
Thursday morning (10/2) dawned with plenty of activity on the field adjacent to the gymnasium. The Boosterthon Fun Run was only hours away, and the staff was busy setting up the track and sound system before hundreds of students raced their way to success. The second year of the Boosterthon celebration proved to be equally exciting for our elementary and middle school students. Each student sought out financial sponsorship per lap of the Fun Run, and as a result, students came eager to run all of their promised laps. Teachers posted at the checkpoint were poised to mark student t-shirts as each lap was completed. The music and excitement provided by the Boosterthon staff along with the beautiful October weather created a fun and exciting afternoon for our students!

SCHOOLWIDE PEP RALLY COMING HOME 2008
Students gathered in the gym on Friday (10/3) to celebrate an annual tradition at MJCA: Coming Home. As the varsity football team prepared to battle Red Boiling Springs Friday evening, the pep rally also recognized the middle school football team's valiant effort against Southside the previous night. Varsity cheerleaders joined with the middle school squad to lead the crowd in cheers, and they also provided entertaining games and skits to energize the crowd. It is hard not to have a great time at a Friday afternoon pep rally! Go Saints!
